Jacob Savage
Jacob was raised in Twin Falls, Idaho, where the Lord graciously saved him at the age of 18 through the faithful witness of his father, his best friend, and a local pastor. Growing up, he loved playing football and running around with his friends pretending to be soldiers.
Not long after coming to faith, Jacob enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served six years on active duty. During his time in the military, Jacob met the love of his life, Grace, and they have been joyfully married since 2016.
While serving in the Army, Jacob became deeply involved with the parachurch ministry of The Navigators. Through this ministry, the Lord continued to grow Jacob’s love for God’s Word, discipleship, and caring for fellow soldiers. It was during these years that Jacob began to see the importance of the local church and to aspire to pastoral ministry.
After being honorably discharged in 2020, Jacob immediately pursued further theological training. While attending school online, Jacob and Grace returned to Twin Falls, where they became founding members of Twin Falls Community Church. The church later sent the Savage family to seminary for a season so Jacob could complete his education. He graduated with a BA in Biblical and Theological Studies and an MDiv from Southern Seminary.
Jacob most enjoys spending time with his wife, Grace, and their two children, Paul and Phoebe. He also loves reading, listening to music, good coffee, running, weightlifting, grilling, laughing often, and watching The Lord of the Rings. Some of his favorite books include Paul’s letter to the Romans, the Psalms, The Pilgrim’s Progress (and the children’s version, The Little Pilgrim’s Big Journey), and Harry Potter.
