Bridging Relationships through the Gospel

Core Values

Top
Core Values
Scriptural Authority

We value God’s Word. We strive to be a church that is firmly grounded on the authority, inspiration, inerrancy, and preservation of Scripture. We believe that the Word of God is the source of all truth and life.

Faithful Preaching

We value faithful preaching. We strive to be a church that consistently proclaims the truth and story of Scripture through faithful expository preaching. By digging in God’s Word, we find out who God is, who we are, and how we should live.

Evangelism

We value evangelism. The church is the primary means through which the good news of the gospel reaches to the lost. We believe that members of TFCC should seek to display God’s love through personal and corporate evangelism and through active engagement in the real and felt needs of the community of Twin Falls.

Bold Prayer

We value prayer. We strive to be a church that seeks the Lord in private and corporate prayer. We believe that God delights to hear and answer the prayers of His saints. We are commanded to come humbly, boldly, and confidently before God’s throne with our praise, confession, thanksgiving, and requests.

Kingdom Advancement

We value missions. We strive to advance the Kingdom of God locally, regionally, domestically, and internationally. We believe that the church is an outpost of the true King’s Kingdom and believe that God’s global plan for advancing His Kingdom is through His Church. We are a local church that seeks to be a catalyst for planting, revitalizing, and replanting local churches by training, equipping, and sending God’s people to advance His Kingdom.

Gospel-Centered

We value the gospel. We strive to be a church that proclaims, protects, and lives out the gospel. It is in the good news of the gospel that all of humanity finds hope and salvation. In a world where people are searching for hope, we know that the immoveable truth of the gospel is the only source of true hope, satisfaction, salvation, and life through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Intentional Discipleship

We value intentional discipleship. We strive to be a church that is following Jesus and calling others to follow Jesus through life-on-life discipleship that seeks to bear each other’s burdens and spur one another on in holiness, love, and good works. We believe that a main function of the church is to train and equip believers to be faithful disciples who are making faithful disciples.

Passionate Worship

We value passionate worship. We strive to be a church that worships the Risen King in our daily routines, as well as, in our weekly gatherings together around the preaching of the word, prayer, and singing. We believe passionate worship is a natural and reasonable response to the transforming power of the gospel.

Unity and Diversity

We value unity and diversity. We strive to be a diverse community of believers who have been redeemed out of sin, reconciled to God through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and united together as sinners saved by grace. We believe that the mystery of the gospel beautifully displays the glory of God when the church strives for humble unity amidst the diversity that God has created in each of us.

Gatherings

Gatherings

Our corporate gatherings are centered on the gospel and grounded deeply in the Bible. We firmly believe that the Church is the new temple of God that is being built of blocks from every ethnicity and people group on the earth. Come to our gatherings as you are, but leave with a more passionate love for God and your neighbor through a deeper understanding of the gospel.

We believe that the people of God are the primary instrument of worship and that worship is not exclusively musical. In our gatherings, we will worship by singing the gospel (hymns old and new), reading the gospel (Bible Reading), praying the gospel (Corporate Prayer), listening to the gospel (Expository Preaching), exhorting one another in the gospel (Fellowship), and practicing the gospel (Baptism and Communion).

Beliefs

Beliefs

While we are a community church that is friendly to various denominations, we are Baptistic in our theology and practice. We strive to partner together with other churches who are grounded on Gospel-truth, with the goal of collaborating to advance Christ's Kingdom on this earth.

The Nicene Creed

I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

The Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic* church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.

Amen.
